The Grade II* listed building which houses BAC, designed in 1891 by EW Mountford, first opened as Battersea Town Hall in 1893. The building was used for over 70 years as council chambers, holding borough meetings, elections and discussions - it was a key focal point essential to the legislative activities within the borough.BAC has a wide range of spaces available for hire. With a capacity of 400 on round tables, or 550 theatre style, our lavish Grand Hall is the largest of our spaces and perfect for events including weddings, dances, charity dinners, AGMs, conferences and exhibitions.
For smaller functions our Lower Hall accommodates up to 140 on round tables and 180 theatre style.
Both spaces have their own PA system, kitchen and private foyer area and are licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships. Our in-house technical team are able to apply their theatrical expertise to creatively design your lighting, sound and AV solutions.
Our catering team can accommodate any occasion, from canapés to a sit-down three course meal, with all food freshly prepared onsite. If it’s flexibility you’re after then we are more than happy for you to bring in your own caterers and alcohol, as well as decorating the space however you wish. Or if you’d rather leave it to us, we can event manage throughout the planning stages and on the day itself.
